It is for the traveler who does not just want to visit a place, but wants to feel and really experience it. The traveler who wants to go beyond the beaches and is open to reflection and real connection. A connection with culture, nature, and with self. It is for those who find beauty in small details, hidden gems, quiet moments, and stories
Who we are
The Key to Curaçao was created by Archel Kwidama and Xiomara Mathilda.
Kwidama, an engineer and structural designer with experience in both the Netherlands and the Caribbean, found himself longing for work that had a deeper meaning. It was about something that not only fulfilled him personally but would also serve the local community of the island where he was born and raised.
He joined forces with Xiomara Mathilda, also a local to Curaçao and a respected educator, and former Superintendent of the DOS School Board. She is known for transforming some of Curaçao’s lowest-rated schools into thriving institutions with waiting lists and strong community support.
Together, they created The Key To Curaçao as a lasting contribution to the island they love. They designed it to inspire a cultural connection for locals and visitors alike.
